What started as a lifelong love of dogs has turned into the Bay Area’s largest privately owned and owner operated pet boarding and day care operation. As a fourth generation Bay Area resident and owner of The Tail Haven, Emily Ronnow builds on over a decade of experience as a private dog trainer specializing in reactivity/aggression and behavior modification in pet dogs. She holds a bachelors and master’s in communication from Chico State, and uses her educational background in training to help people understand what dogs are trying to say.
Emily also uses her training background to build The Tail Haven’s foundational emphasis on safety and security. From facility design to staff training, Emily’s passion for dogs and interest in understanding what makes them tick comes through in all aspects of The Tail Haven. Her experience and leadership helps elevate The Tail Haven from dog-sitters to proud dog lovers who go the extra mile for every canine client and their owners.
